Making your journey as easy as possible
By Rail
From Paris, you can take the Toulouse-bound TGV to Agen (approx. 3.5 hours). From Agen, a local "liO" train reaches Valence d'Agen in 15 minutes — and the Château is then a short 10-minute drive away. Both trains can be booked directly with SNCF .
Getting to Paris will likely involve taking the Eurostar (from the UK) or ICE (from Germany). As of 2026, there is also a brand new sleeper train from Hamburg and Berlin, though this can be quite pricy, depending on travel class.
By Road
If you're travelling by car, this might be a wonderful opportunity to go through the Loire Valley or the Dordogne Valley. Both are among France's most iconic road trip routes, and endowed with rather more than their fair share of scenic landscapes, castles, and excellent wine.
Through the Air
The nearest major airport is Toulouse (TLS), which has direct flights from London, Bristol, Munich, and Berlin.
From Tolouse, it is either a 1-hour drive to the Château, or you can take a regional train ("TER", bookable via SNCF ) to Valence d'Agen. This does, however, require first getting to the Toulouse Matabiau train station, which can, for instance, be achieved with the airport shuttle busses.
Local Transportation
Because Goudourville is in a rural area, on-demand ride services like Uber are unreliable. If you require local transport between your accommodation and the venue, it may be helpful to book a driver at least 24 – 48 hours in advance.

It may also be worth checking out booking sites. Besides the usual suspects ( AirBnb and Booking.com ), there are some uniquely French offerings, which may occasionally have real hidden gems at reasonable prices. Sites we've used in the past are Gîtes de France , Roomlala , and Leboncoin (basically French eBay, but, for some reason, with rental properties).
Unfortunately, there are no Bonvoy hotels in the area, in case this matters to you.
The dress code and theme for the wedding are inspired by the venue, the grand tour spirit it evokes, and the bride’s Classics education - think sun-faded linens at the end of a long continental summer.
Soft linens, pale tailoring, weathered cottons, heirloom jewellery, relaxed silhouettes. Colours should be cream, oat, stone, ivory, faded olive - sun-washed neutrals. Nothing too crisp or overly formal; beautifully dishevelled is the vibe. Above all, be comfortable.
Please, reject pastels - unless as an accent in your outfit, refuse a white unless as a shirt, refrain from dark colours, and avoid overly saturated colours..

Your presence with us in France is already the most generous gift. Many of you will be travelling a considerable distance, taking time away and, we hope, making an adventure of it. We are enormously grateful for the effort you are making to be with us.
With regard to gifts, If there is something deeply personal or sentimental that you had already imagined giving us, we would of course treasure it. Beyond that, we are very fortunate to have many of the things we need to begin married life together, and so we will not be creating a traditional wedding list or registering anywhere.
For a long time, we have wanted to establish something charitable together. Our wedding has provided the catalyst to begin the journey in building something we hope will last even longer than our lives and marriage.
We are founding the Huntingdon-Stuart Foundation.
Its initial work will focus on education and equality of opportunity. We hope to support talented young people - particularly women and gender-diverse people, and those whose backgrounds or circumstances can make established pathways harder to access - in pursuing study and opportunity in philosophy, classics, strategic disciplines and other fields that shape public life. Its early activities may include university grants, academic prizes and, in time, mentoring programmes. In its future the Foundation may support a wider range of exclusively charitable causes selected by its trustees and guided by its founding principles of equality of access and educational opportunity. It is a project close to both our hearts, and one we hope will grow over our years together.
In lieu of wedding gifts, we would be honoured if guests chose to make a donation towards the Foundation, and help us begin our married life by building something positive and hopefully enduring.
Please feel no obligation, your presence is the only thing we could ask for. But for those who would like to give, a contribution to the Foundation’s founding appeal would mean a great deal to us.

The Huntingdon-Stuart Foundation is currently an unregistered charitable trust established in England and Wales. It has been created to advance such exclusively charitable purposes, according to the law of England and Wales, as its trustees consider appropriate. Its initial focus is the advancement of education and equality of opportunity.
Donations received through this appeal will be held exclusively for the Foundation’s charitable purposes and will form part of its general charitable funds. The trustees will decide independently how those funds should be applied in accordance with the Foundation’s governing document and their legal duties.
The Foundation’s possible initial activities include grants to universities and other charitable organisations, educational awards, academic prizes, mentoring and related projects.
The trustees intend to establish and register a successor Foundation-model Charitable Incorporated Organisation and, following registration, to transfer the appeal funds to it.
If the successor charity is not registered or is unable to accept the funds, the trustees will apply the funds directly for the Foundation’s charitable purposes or transfer them to another charity with the same or similar purposes.
Donations are not wedding gifts to the couple and may not be used for their personal benefit. The Foundation is not currently registered with the Charity Commission. Gift Aid will not be claimed unless and until the Foundation is recognised by HM Revenue & Customs and all applicable requirements have been met.
